On Its 19th Founding Anniversary: LIMU Advances Its Digital Transformation with Scientific Methodologies for Process Value Analysis and Re-engineering

In support of the qualitative progress of the Business Process Management project at the Libyan International University, an extended meeting was held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. It brought together the Process Engineering Unit team, representatives of the General Registrar’s Office, college and academic program registrars, and graduate affairs coordinators, to review the results of the Value Analysis conducted by the unit on a number of processes related to student services.

The analysis covered five processes. The meeting reviewed the analysis results and proposed improvements, and discussed redistributing responsibilities, simplifying procedures, and developing workflows, in order to raise process efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to students.

The meeting concluded with broad consensus on the analysis results and the proposed amendments. The Process Engineering Unit will update the future-state (To-Be) process models, in preparation for their approval and referral to the Automation and Development Unit to convert them into fully integrated electronic processes.

This meeting comes within the project’s working methodology, which is based on analyzing processes, assessing the added value of their steps, eliminating unnecessary steps, and redesigning workflows in collaboration with stakeholders.

This achievement reflects the university’s institutional commitment to a digital transformation grounded in scientific analysis and process re-engineering before automation, rather than merely converting paper-based procedures into electronic ones, thereby strengthening operational efficiency, institutional integration, and continuous improvement.
