Faculty of Engineering and Technology: Steady Strides Toward Business Process Management (BPM)

The Academic Hall witnessed, on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, 2025, qualitative additional steps in the path of full digital transformation: The University Business Process Management (BPM) System.

The workshop was led by the University’s Business Operations project team (represented by Mr. Bilal Al-Jabbour) and attended by the Chairman of the Faculty’s Business Operations Committee, Dr. Wissam Al-Fassi, along with the majority of the committee members.

The session commenced by focusing on the fundamental terms and concepts applied in business operations in general. It then transitioned to the practical application of these concepts within the faculty’s specific operations, providing examples of the business processes previously submitted by the faculty.

In this context, it is worth noting that the members of the Faculty’s Business Operations Committee (who represent the faculty’s organizational structure) had previously submitted descriptions of the processes they perform—each in their respective role—as they currently function (As-Is).

Following today’s session, committee members will resubmit their documentation within one week. They will apply the information received today to their previous work, filling gaps and addressing deficiencies in the earlier submissions. This will serve as the foundation upon which the next phase of the committee’s work will be built.
